Your tour will begin and end in Chiang Mai, the cultural capital of North Thailand, which is locally referred to as the Lanna culture. It is far from the crazy crowds of Bangkok and Pattaya, as well as having a unique laidback nightlife.
Experience the Mae Hongson loop firsthand, which takes you through rainforest clad mountains along winding roads – not forgetting that you will need to negotiate 1864 hair pin bends!
Some of the other highlights you can hope to experience include getting up close and personal with the unique foothill tribes (the Karen Long Necks), visiting ancient caves, partaking in bamboo rafting, and visiting jungle elephant camps or conservation centres.
The world famous Golden Triangle (a tri-junction between the nations of Laos, Burma and Thailand) is also with a visit – a boat ride along the Mekong River is an experience not to be forgotten.
